Deaconess Ministry

The Deaconess of Mount Zion provide service to God and to the pastor. This Ministries standing duties include:
1. Preparation of the Lord’s Supper table, including maintaining linens; inventory of and arranging supplies, and ensuring that all things are in order for the Lord’s Supper.

2. Deaconess are on duty during Baptism to prepare the candidates and assist the Pastor and Deacons during service.

3. Maintain the baptismal wardrobes of Pastor and candidates.

4. Visit the sick and shut-in and keep the pastor informed of their needs.

Missionaries

A missionary is someone sent on a mission typically, by a religious organization, to spread a passage, convince others of a certain belief, provide aid to communities or to accomplish any agenda. Our missionaries meet monthly, first Friday at 11:00am, to study God’s word and discuss and plan ways to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Usher Ministry

Welcome/Outreach Ministry

The welcome/outreach ministry’s main goal is to make sure that those who are visiting Mt. Zion for the first time feel the love of God through our love shown from the moment they walk in the door. The ministry also provides a breakfast each quarter to allow visitors and members to fellowship together. For the scripture says: “Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!” (Hebrews 13:2, NLT).
